Rogers support of all flavours is super. I have 10 or 12? GB shared. Two new phones My wife pays Free long distance etc. Now that I think of it my phone should be 75 less 25 percent. Need to call I guess.
I have yet to run into one of those horror stories I hear about Rogers service. Probably two sides to each story. Loyalty pays in my opinion. They are truly a hidden gem they have better coverage than Rogers and the same speed and coverage as bell but most of their plans are way cheaper than Bell Telus or Rogers and the customer service is great.
ElleM Joined: Mar Posts: They have internent plans but only needed texting and calling for work. I believe that is cheaper then any plan bell or rogers have.
I don't know how much of the out of town infrastructure they share, but the footprints are mostly identical in town. Which leaves other factors. Or alternatively, Telus. In terms of coverage, I think they may be a tad better since they now have built out their own infrastructure AND have access to the BellMTS infrastructure as well I assume as part of the takeover agreement.
A handy factoid that being, since the new tower on Aberdeen made the mild hiccups in my workplace vanish instantly.
Also, at least from my point of view, Telus has been a much better company to deal with than MTS ever was. Certainly during the transition phase, but even now years, and 2 contracts, later. If they are satisfactory, then you can either stick with that or go all in.
It's nice having options. BillandMichelle Joined: May Posts: 2. I finished my contract with Bell mts. Services continues and I keep paying the bill.

All companies have deals on right now. They all share towers. LTE is apparently not available in this area and your phone will have faster service if you switch it to 3G. I did that and it is much faster. Facebook Twitter Email Flag Alerts.

The dissatisfaction appears to come from the fact that most Canadians simply do not use vast amounts of mobile data that premium cell phone plans boast.
Sure, some do, and such plans are great for them. But so many others feel they are overpaying. They even got rid of data overage charges and added many new perks. And as expected, Telus and Bell followed suit. Though the prices are still considered premium rates, Canadians should be happy about this. There are alternatives. If you would prefer to try something other than Bell, Rogers, or Telus, there are lots of options to choose from. For example:. In simple terms, these are smaller brand names that piggyback off the networks of the Big Three and offer cheaper monthly plans.
These companies often target younger audiences in their marketing. They offer more customizable options such as prepaid services and other reduced features. Our cell phone signal boosters are also compatible with these flanker brands in addition to the big three. The cell phone plans with these alternate companies are great but may not be for everybody. For example, Lucky Mobile offers big-data plans on the cheap, but the download speeds are slower than what you would get when going with Bell directly.
But what they do offer is a really good balance of features and price. In almost every case, you get reliable service and great coverage since flanker brands use the networks of their parent companies.
They all offer unlimited data plans but prices between networks can differ in some cases. But if you live in certain provinces - namely Quebec, Manitoba, or Saskatchewan - it can be less expensive. Combining multiple lines onto one bill can also save money on these plans.
The thing is, though, there are restrictions with these unlimited data plans. Outside the unlimited data plans, your options are very limited. Different phones are discounted at different times depending on the provider. Make sure to take a look at what discounts each network is offering and see if one fits your needs over another. Note: Rogers, Bell, and Telus offered month financing options at one point to popular demand.
They were forced to remove it from their list of offerings until the CRTC decides on whether or not it is in violation of the Wireless Code of Conduct. It's a feature on MyRogers app or Rogers.
