I been to SB once with a friend to "pick up some money" he didn't tell me we had to fight 4 guys for it. Little do these women know, you're actually bringing them customers by putting them on the map Toris Efford I pass through that way for work occasionally and if they're standing in the street like that they're working.
I got nothing bad to say about them though, I once was walking back to my work truck from the In n Out and a prostitute propositioned me but when I kindly turned down her offer she complimented me on my smile and walked away. Toris Efford only the girls standing on the streets with corners that are worn down from all the right hand turns caused by the faithful patrons. Been here since middle school. All you can do is make the best of a bad situation. It's not impossible.
I make K a yr… why would I be retarded and still try and live there now? Mr Logical Mind Who said anything about being oppressed in a ghetto? You could either adapt or die. This is often referred to as Darwin's Theory on Natural Selection aka survival of the fittest Jondoe Harris If you live in an oppressed dirty ghetto, you don't think saving up money to move to a better location is a good idea? You think thats being BETA? Mr Logical Mind Why would I do that?
Doesn't matter where you go, it matters what you do. Don't be beta. From these videos it is clear that the degree of plumpinatiousness is directly proportional to the proximity to downtown Los Angeles. This is my hood. I live here, and I say you can drive around in circles as much as you want son. Sad to see any Girls working the streets, anytime they get into someone's car it could very well be their last Heroin makes people feel good too.
But sex workers spread std's, and contribute to the overall objectification of women in those societies. Or they could send a letter To Washington and beg and plead for it to be legal and safe and maintained. What you see is smoke and mirrors. The only good part about this area is the jail. Getting home from the old jail is way better than getting released from West Valley at 2am.
RIP Alvin and John. Back when record stores were a thing. Groove Time was dope also. First time I played double dragon the arcade game at circle k in either or Time is crazy. That was my old Elementry school to the right at the end of this video.. Sad seeing San Berdo like this! I know all those streets , even tho I barely recognize them now. Well shit you must not have heard they got shut down cause the health inspector went 2 different times and found rat shit and roaches all over the place.
Alfredo has been going downhill for the past couple years. It's not anywhere near as good as it used to be back in the day. Sad shit. I come from OC and used to eating good food. Worked in San Bernardino for 1 year - Alfredos was pretty damn good. Their bread was bomb. Also San Bernardino somehow has the best popeyes and in n out in California. Usually when I drive past those girls I stick my hand out the window and wave hi to them and there really nice and wave hi back to me I drive through railroad district every day.
It's like living in a constant episode of The First My family and I left San Bernardino in , best decision we've ever made. Will never ever live there again. I always think of this city as "the city of love" because I always saw couples walking around together. City of my birth. Believe it or not it used to be really nice back in the 60s.
Not Socrates In part. Crime spiraled out of control when LA shipped their worst criminals to San Bernardino to 'start fresh. Closing small shops to build Central City Mall ruined the shopping experience, as space rent priced out local businesses and gangs targeted shoppers. A beautiful park and lake was destroyed to build Inland Center Mall.
E Street cruise night was banned and curbs were painted red to stop gatherings downtown. Kaiser Steel forced out by eco groups. Norton AFB closed.
Santa Fe shops closed. Gangs remained. It was. Mountains still had waterfalls along road, where you could stop and drink fresh cold water. Cruising E was an experience, and Sam's Bossey Dairy on 16th was the turnaround point.
Schools and parks were safe. Orange Show was a week long party. Concerts were held at the Swing Auditorium, and we could cool off in the fountain. Salvation Army used to hold little concerts downtown. Roy's Orange Julius was a treat.
Searchlights were fun to follow. Some trouble with prejudice but attempts to segregate were failing. Vietnam War had a profound effect on all of us.
Norton AFB was a huge source of income and it got shut down early 90s and then shit really hit the fan!!! SB IE does that too you. I was raised in San Bernardino since I was 4 years old, always hanging out around baseline, highland, Del Rosa.
And Victoria Ave. He's been running that Bar for decades. I stayed there for over three decades, till I moved out of California. The only thing I miss from Cali is the great weather. I grew up there. If you ever need to complete any business in the city, you know this. That miyagi sushi joint is fire though!!!! Kinda sad to see my city on a channel like this lol. I was born here and i even have family here, but there estranged like everything else here, so i can't say I'm really proud of what has happened to my birth place.
I lived most of my life elsewhere. I can feel that vibe when in the City Limits. I spent the night in San Bernardino, some hotel that had a pool and an outdoor jacuzzi. I remember sitting out in the jacuzzi on a cool December night. Quite a change from Rhode Island! The shafting and rod greasing can occur nearby.
The allen screws can be tightened and zerk nipple ends can be lubed. Brakes can be checked and rotors turned and of course the johnson rods can be replaced as per factory recommendations How funny, I was literally thinking that area in the beginning looked familiar just to find out I was chilling at gray hound spot after the first turn waiting for another bus when I was omw to Vegas 2 yrs ago lmao.
Sparked a joint around that corner too in the dead of night lmao. AmericanZombie everything looks better on camera If you're looking for a rundown city with nothing going for it, San Bernardino is the place. In the early 80's, San Bernardino was somewhat decent.
Thereafter, its been all downhill. Nathan Lewis my dad was a civilian contractor who was there to help close Norton in the late 90s. Sadly everything kind of looks the same.
Most of those in charge of the police department, the fire department, and the political seats are Republicans. Not really. My dad was a college then, and it was a sh! Its just worse now, of course. San Berdoo used to be a decent place. Grew up there in the 60's, attended Lincoln Elementary.
I used to walk down Baseline all the time. Probably not safe to do so now! I didn't know ho strolls still existed!!! I thought they all made the leap onto the Information Super Highway.
Lmao"why you keep driving around like that"? Daytime Models. This is just really sad. I grew up on Mountain View and would always play with my friends at Wildwood Park. Moved to Michigan where it is safe and we can leave doors unlocked. Damn shame! What part of Michigan? I grew up in Rhode Island, East Providence little side street.
Heck we used to leave the car keys on the floor of the car so Mom and Dad knew where the keys were. We had screen doors and no Air Conditioning. So we had the doors and windows open many months of the year.
This is up until Had a few more transients walking and driving around by then as the population around town increased and cars and driving was the norm, not like the one car family back in the 60s. Half a million people are homeless in the State of California.
I'm glad I left that goofy state 28 years ago! I was born and raised in So Cal. Lived in this area for three years. I'm so glad I relocated out of state. San Berdo looks like a third-world city. I really glad to see your post and your world was so brilliant.
I decided to share them with my friends. If you listen to Atlantic Starr in the beginning of the song Secret Lovers she says " give it up " San bernardino lmao don't look like much to give up here!!
I use to live there I miss it Life is A Struggle no matter where U Go.. San Bernardino takes the 11th spot. But i visited a friend once and as i was about to leave i heard gun shots. I said im not leaving until i hear a chopper lol!! Seldom Seen not that bad? They don't call it The Dirty Dino for nothing!! All this time you were pretending so much for my happy ending.
