Silas is next seen in the hospital where Lindsey killed most of her victims he meets Teegan lomax , he freaks her out with his fascination on the murders, He then meets Lindsey for the first time unaware she is who is looking for, He pretends to be one of the people who run's the hospital, She pleads to keep her job and it seems Silas realises Lindsey is in fact the killer he's looking for he says to her he will see her around.
When Mercedes exposes Lindsey as the killer Silas phones her and helps her escape police using similar tactics he used to get away from police all them years ago, Lindsey meets Silas at his car where he introduced himself as Silas Blissett, Lindsey likely knew who he was or had heard of him as Mercedes Silas's arch rival was her best friend, Silas wants to get her son back kill Mercedes and kill people with lindsey, Lindsey initially says no off-screen but eventually says yes after her attempts to get JJ back fail.
Silas and Lindsey then sneak into the Roscoes home to get JJ back and kill Mercedes together but neither at the house, Lindsey who is pregnant at the time goes into labour just as Silas is about to leave she then finds Joe's phone and forms a plan that Silas kidnap Mercedes by sending her a text on Joe's phone, She then gives birth to baby girl just as Joe and Freddie arrive she locks them all in the hospital room and goes back to the house to meet Silas and get JJ, she assumed Silas had killed Mercedes.
Before kidnapping Mercedes Silas meets paeodphile Pete Buchanan Silas's recognizes him from a local newspaper he is digusted by Pete and threatens to kill him before leaving and kidnapping Mercedes. Silas prepared to strangle Mercedes but had a change of heart when she opened up about her miscarriage, Silas for the first time ever seemed to actually feel sorry for Mercedes and could see she had changed however Silas said that does not change her past and prepared to strangle her again but stopped once Mercedes explained Lindsey had slept with Freddie behind Joe's back, Married Freddie then went back to Joe.
Silas was furious by this revelation and when Lindsey got back he snatched her baby and told Mercedes to go upstairs and look after both children, Silas then strangled Lindsey making her his sixth and final known victim to date and left Hollyoaks again before police could catch him.
The McQueen family begin getting blackmailed with past sins they received a talking doll sending cryptic messages. The blackmailer is not confirmed for several weeks.
Silas is confirmed as the blackmailer in october returning for the first time since he killed Lindsey and went on the run again four years ago. He is seen stalking Mercedes in the streets after shes just discovered she is pregnant with husband Sylver McQueen's baby he follows her to the Dog in the pond and sneaks up behind her while she is on the phone to her mom Myra and is about to strangle her but stops when he over hears Mercedes telling Myra she is pregnant he leaves the Dog before catching a glimpse of the McQueen family dancing, he looks on in disgust.
It is never truly confirmed Silas's exact motives as to why he is blackmailing the McQueen family it could be he needed money from being on the run for eight years or possibly just the fact he just genuinely hates the McQueens as he stated many times In he hates them and was also not too please about his grandson Riley marrying Mercedes he had also tryed to kill Mercedes and theresa two McQueen's nine times in total.
It could also be that Silas was only doing very little of the blackmail as while he was stalking Mercedes he was seen phoning and texting a mystery assailant showing Silas was not working alone. Silas is seen in hollyoaks next when on the phone to his mysterious partner he encounters fellow killer Toby faroe he has a brief conversation with him about women before leaving. Silas is next seen in the cafe wearing a mask to protect his identity which didn't look too out of place as this was during the covid 19 pandemic and Silas would be in the old and vulnerable category.
He appears to be playing chess on his own, His interest is piqued when he is listening to a conversation between Tom , Yaz and Cher McQueen and he overhears Chers last name realising she is a McQueen, When they leave the cafe Cher loses her phone after leaving it in the cafe Silas attempts to steal the phone but Cher catches him and gives it her back pretending he just found it, At some Silas had place a chess piece into her bag implying shes his next murder victim.
Silas continued blackmailing the McQueens of-screen, getting Sylver briefly arrested for his sin killing Breda making John paul steal his best friend Nancy Hayton's dead Fiancee's watch to save Theresa from being exposed as a criminal and threatening to expose Nana McQueen as a thief. Silas is next seen on screen when threatening to expose next victim Cher of the murder of her sister but Mercedes exposes her first to try and show the blackmailer that they will not be threatened by their demands this backfired however as Cher feels humiliated and runs away from home getting drunk.
Silas then approached a drunk Cher who sat on a bench next to the Folly and sits down to talk to her its implied he originally planned to kill her but after talking to her he realises that she is not the kind of girl he kills although he does scold her for the clothes she wearing and she opens up about killing her sister, Silas then recounts the early guilt he had during his murders but explains to her she doesn't have to live with it but Cher doesnt realise what he's talking about because of how drunk she is, Cher then passes out and he takes her back to the Dog in the pond and uses takes a video of Cher and sends it to Mercedes to torment her.
Mercedes then finds Cher passed out on the couch, She then leaves to find the blackmailer, She walks up a flight of when Silas then inadvertently causes Mercedes have a miscarriage when he calls her to torment her and reveal to Mercedes he is the blackmailer, she faints in shock and falls down the stairs Silas then finds her realising he might of just caused Mercedes to lose her baby he flees the scene Sylver then finds her and takes her to Hospital, when Mercedes wakes up she is told her baby has died.
The next day Mercedes and Sylver mourn the loss of their baby, she reveals to her family that Silas is their blackmailer, All the family know who Silas and the thing he's done but are sceptical to believe Mercedes. Mercedes asks John Paul's boyfriend and police officer George Kiss to track down Silas, George says he will try but he can never find Silas.
In December its revealed that Seth Costello is the other blackmailer who had been helping Silas when they are seen stalking the McQueen's it is also revealed Theresa is also blackmailing her own family she is in a relationship with Seth and they are the ones doing most of blackmailing with Silas just controlling things behind the scenes, Theresa however does not know Silas is involved.
Theresa is exposed as one of blackmailers when Mercedes realises someone in her family must be feeding information back to the blackmailer she pretends shes having an affair on Sylver she tells all her family it's with different person, she tells Theresa it's with luke Morgan and minutes later the Blackmailer threatens to expose Mercedes fake affair with luke Mercedes then realises its Theresa.
Mercedes confronts Theresa, Seth then jumps to Theresa's defence and Mercedes realises they're both in on the blackmail, Mercedes then tells Theresa Silas and Seth have been using her, Theresa says it's got nothing to do with Silas but Seth tells her the truth, Theresa is furious after realising shes been played, Theresa is then disowned by her family.
Silas makes a plan to kidnap Mercedes son and his great grandson Bobby Costello because Bobby is his family and he also knows it's how he can hurt Mercedes the most and with the help Seth on the 7th January he manages to kidnap an unsuspecting Bobby and then sending Seth to get fake passports.
Seth thinks that they are going to flee the country however Silas was only using Bobby to get to Mercedes as soon as seth had left to get the passports Silas phones Mercedes and tells her he had kidnapped Bobby and tells her to come to the Folly alone to which she does.
Silas gives Mercedes a choice let Bobby leave with him or he will let Bobby go but Mercedes has to let him kill her first Mercedes agreed to let Silas kill her to get Bobby back but just as he is about to finally kill Mercedes Theresa who had convinced Seth to tell her where Silas was knocked him out with a rock.
Silas then leaves the village once again claiming Mercedes had won but not before taking out an insurance policy, he had managed to get Bobby's number and had sent him a link to a chess app allowing then to stay in contact. Hollyoaks Wiki Explore.
